Prerequisites
A driving licence category is only accessible to those who are at least 16 years old. This license allows you to drive a light motorcycle, while categories A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. You must also complete an emergency course and undergo a theoretical training based on the full curriculum. This is offered through a variety of driving schools. All driving schools follow the same curriculum, even if their prices may differ.
The practical training consists up of a number of driving lessons. These classes run between three and four hours each. The instructors will instruct you on the basics of your motorcycle as well as the basic rules of road. The amount of time you spend training will depend on your level and progress, however the curriculum stipulates a minimum of five hours of instruction on federal roads and four hours of riding on country roads. Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 test is a two part test, that includes a theoretical and practical portion. The test is designed to help you gain the basics of understanding and knowledge of the highway code. Both tests must be passed before you can get your license. You can take the tests before or after you complete the compulsory basic training (CBT).
The theory portion of the test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions that you need to answer correctly. It is recommended that you take the test with a thorough study before taking it, and enroll in a theory class at a reputable driving school or at an ongoing motorcycle training center. After you have passed the theory test, you are able to take a practical test. You must present a valid driver's permit and identification proof at the test centre along with the vehicle you'll be taking the test in. You must wear a helmet and have all necessary safety gear.

Practical test
The practical portion of the Driving License Category A1 exam comprises two parts. The first involves the examiner examining your motorcycle and preparing you for driving. After having passed both the theory and practical test, you'll receive a Driving License A1. This license permits the driver to operate a motorbike with a maximum engine capacity of 125cc, and a power/weight relationship of not more than 11.5 kW per kilogram. This licence allows you to operate trikes that have engines that is up to 125cc and an engine power/weight ratio of not more than 11 kW for each kilogram.
Alongside the driving test you must also pass a medical examination before you can get your license. You must also show evidence of a first-aid course and pass an eye test. If you are under 18 years old, you must get the consent of your parent or legal guardian to apply for a driving license.
